What a DIY sealing job really involves
The sealer is the easy part. The prep is the job. Before any sealer goes down, the surface has to be deep-cleaned, stains treated, and the pavers given real time to dry — and in South Florida's humidity, that drying window is the step most DIY jobs skip or rush.
Then there is the joint sand. If the joints are low or washing out, they need to be topped up and stabilized before sealing. Sealing over empty joints locks in the problem.
